A Christmas message to our community

As we approach Christmas and the turn of the year, on behalf of the entire Longborough Parish Council team I would like to wish everyone in our Parish a happy and healthy Christmas.

Particular thanks go out to all the volunteers and members of our community for the support, friendship and care they have provided during 2020 to fellow parishioners, especially during the lockdown periods. The generosity that exists here in the Longborough area is truly amazing!

Looking to the future, which this year more than most is a good thing to do, we would like to wish you all a happy and prosperous 2021 – a year in which we can all hopefully return to normality, safely visit with our family and friends and get on with our lives.

So, stay safe, take care and have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year !

Tim Howse (Chair – Longborough Parish Council)

War Memorial gets its facelift!

Our War Memorial finally begins to get its “facelift” as the inscriptions are being repainted this week by specialists.  Most importantly, our memorial allows us to remember the fallen from Longborough & Sezincote but it also acts as a vital historical record of the first and second world wars too.

It is hoped that we will be able to mark remembrance Sunday this year in the traditional manner with a service at the memorial, but this will be confirmed in the next week or two.
